Passenger Car Recently, Brazil Fenabrave released car sales data. In the ranking of passenger car sales in Brazil in August, Chery ranked eighth for the first time with 4,717 units sold, surpassing Nissan and Chevrolet, with a market share of 3.94%, setting a new sales record again.
In August, the Brazilian auto market remained sluggish, with sales down 2.1% sequentially and 8.7% year-on-year. Chery continued to buck the trend, with August sales up 25% sequentially and up to 189% year-over-year. Among them, the Tiggo 5x remained the best-selling model, with 1,495 units sold up 35% from July, making it the 10th best-selling SUV in the segment; the Tiggo 8 and Tiggo 3x also performed well, selling 1,383 and 635 units, up 52.3% and 23.1% year-over-year respectively.Tiggo 8 Sold Well in Brazil
This August marked the first anniversary of the launching of Tiggo 8 in Brazil. Since its launch, Tiggo 8 had led the new technology trend in the Brazilian car market with its new stylish design, comfortable and large space, and rich technology configuration, and had been widely praised by Brazilian consumers. From January to July this year, the Tiggo 8 ranked 15th in the SUV sales in Brazil. With its excellent market performance, the Tiggo 8 was awarded the best SUV in the "Top Car TV", the 6th Carsughi L'Auto Preferita Award, and the UOL Model of the Year in December 2020. In addition, the Tiggo 8 had been launched globally in China, Egypt, Russia, Saudi Arabia and other countries, with cumulative sales reaching 250,000 units.

On April 26, the 500,000th car of the TIGGO 8 series rolled off the line, marking another new milestone for Chery: the TIGGO 8 series has become a powerful member of the “Club of 500,000 Cars”. This achievement means the TIGGO 8 series has become, among compact SUVs and 7-seat SUVs of Chinese brands, the fastest model to have achieved the sales of 500,000 cars, showing the “acceleration” of the China brand of Chery. As the 500,000th car rolled off, the TIGGO 8 series, with the historical mission on shoulder, will bring the Chery brand onto a higher level set out on the new journey of the next 500,000 cars.
